DiGi just launched DG Smart Plan for iPhone 4S.


Is it more worth it compare to existing iDiGi package?
Here is some analysis ...

With DG Smart Plan, you can save RM350 - RM650 on iPhone 4S  from DiGi with 24 months contract.

Phone rebate is much more higher than iDiGi package(RM109 ); but, is it worth your money signing up this new package?

* A  is showing the different DG Smart plan vs iDiGi (formula under B); assuming the phone rebate for DG Smart Plan is same with iDiGi, which is RM109, and average it into 24 months(2 years contract).

DG Smart Plan 48, compare with iDiGi 88, RM55-RM43 = RM12

Thus, you pay lesser RM10 + RM 12 = RM22 which worth 200mins/200SMS/20MMS

DG Smart Plan 68, compare with iDiGi 138, RM88-RM63 = RM25

Thus, you pay lesser RM18.4 + RM 25 = RM43.4 which worth 450mins/400SMS/40MMS

DG Smart Plan 138, compare with iDiGi 238, RM156-RM83 = RM73

Thus, you pay lesser RM22.5 + RM 73 = RM95.5 which worth 1000mins/600SMS/60MMS

I would say iDiGi package still better package to take if you are new iPhone user; as you pay additional

RM22      you get 200mins/200SMS/20MMS 

RM43.4  you get 450mins/400SMS/40MMS 

RM95.5  you get  1000mins/600SMS/60MMS (most worth the value for money)

Unless you are going to purely use apps like Whatsapp, Skype, Viper to make free call/SMS.
